An international event called "India study day" has been organized


Today, on May 24, in the Palace of Culture of Urgench State University, an international event "India study day" was organized by professors and teachers of the Department of Roman-German Philology of the Foreign Philology Faculty  and students of English language group 201/203.

This event was moderated by prof. J. Ermetova. The event was also attended by foreign guests through the ZOOM platform.

The event began with the presentation of the Sanskrit dictionary of the Bahadur Lal Shastri India Center to Professor Atabay Jumaniyazov of Urgench State University.

After that, the professor gave a lecture on "Sanskrit-bobo til". His student D.Jumaniyazova gave an interesting analysis of the practical part of the research work on "Differences and similarities of borrowed words from  Sanskrit" and gave interesting information to the participants.

In the artistic part of the event, a group of talented students performed their own Indian dance and an excerpt from the Indian national epic, the Mahabharata.

Also, as part of the event, a quiz "Do you know India?" was held and students who answered the questions correctly were given gifts.

The event was warmly welcomed not only by the students but also by the Indian guests, and it was noted that many events will be held in the future that will bring together the cultures, traditions and customs of the two peoples.
