The final round of the “Navoixon talaba” competition was held

On February 7 of the current year, the final round of the traditional “Navoixon Talaba” competition was held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni on the initiative of the Faculty of Philology and Arts, in celebration of the 585th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and sultan of the realm of words, Alisher Navoi.

The competition aims to promote an in-depth study of Navoi’s works, instill his invaluable literary heritage in the minds of young people, and showcase the scientific, artistic, and intellectual potential of students. Six talented students participated in the competition, testing their knowledge and skills through three stages — question-and-answer sessions, debates, and the performance of selected samples from Alisher Navoi’s lyrical works. Each performance was evaluated fairly and impartially by the jury.

The artistic segment of the event continued with stage performances presented by students of Group 241 of the “Philology and Language Teaching: Uzbek Language” program, along with a video dedicated to Navoi’s life and works, musical performances, songs, and dances, making the event more engaging and meaningful.

At the conclusion of the competition, the Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Arts, Professor D.Ghayipov, ceremoniously announced the winners, warmly congratulated them on their achievements, and presented awards.

First place — Hakimova Nargiza,
3rd-year student of the Uzbek Language Education program;
Second place — Bakhtiyorova Gulshoda,
4th-year student of the Uzbek Language Education program;
Third place — Temurova Nazirabonu,
3rd-year student of the Uzbek Language Education program.

Once again, we congratulate the winners of the competition and wish them continued success and new achievements in their future academic and creative endeavors!
