Scientific-Theoretical Seminar

On December 10, 2025, a regular scientific-theoretical seminar was held at the Department of "Translation Theory and Practice" of the Faculty of Foreign Philology at Abu Rayhan Beruni Urgench State University. The seminar was attended by professors and teachers of the department, doctoral students, and master's students.The seminar featured a presentation by master's student Yakubova Shahribonu on the topic "Word Choice from a Synonymic Range in Translation into Uzbek (Based on the Example of Legislative Document Texts)."The presentation focused on theoretical and practical aspects of word selection from a synonymic range in the process of translating legislative documents into Uzbek. The presentation covered the concept of synonymy, types of lexical equivalence, characteristics of the formal-legal style, as well as the semantic and legal consequences arising from incorrect synonym choice.
