On April 22, a regular scientific-theoretical seminar was held at the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Philology at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Beruni.
During the seminar, the department’s trainee lecturer, Karimboyeva Nafosat Yunus kizi, delivered a presentation on the topic “Authorial methods of transformation of phraseological units in the French language.”
The seminar highlighted the role of phraseological units in the linguistic system of the French language, their semantic and stylistic features, as well as the processes of their authorial adaptation in literary texts from a scholarly perspective.
The report also emphasized the linguopoetic significance of phraseological transformation, its role in enhancing imagery, and its contribution to increasing the aesthetic expressiveness of the text.
Participants shared their views on the theoretical foundations of the issue and its specific aspects in the translation process.
