Literature and Enlightenment Day: The 90th anniversary of the birth of Erkin Samandar was celebrated at UrSU

Today, a literary and educational event was organized at the Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Beruniy on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birth of Erkin Samandar, a prominent figure in modern Uzbek literature, a distinguished journalist of Uzbekistan, and a laureate of the Order of Friendship. The event included presentations of the poet and his books about him, titled “Selected Works,” “My Father,” “Erkin Samandar: Poet, Writer, Playwright, Publicist, State and Public Figure,” and “I Am a Child of Khorezm.”
The creative evening was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, Gayrat Majid, the editor-in-chief of the magazines "Sharq Yulduzi" and "Zvezda Vostoka", poet Sirojiddin Rauf, a member of the Writers' Union of Turkey, publisher and journalist Arslan Bayrit, the winner of the "Shuhrat" medal, poetess Sayyora Samandarova, as well as a group of members of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, professors and teachers of the Faculty of Philology and Arts, students and youth, relatives, students and family members of Erkin Samandar.
