From March 23 to 28, the VI International Open Mathematics Olympiad (OMOUS–2026) was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. This prestigious competition brought together students from higher education institutions around the world.
Students of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Beruni successfully participated in the олимпиад and achieved outstanding results. The team was led by the Dean of the Faculty J. Khujamov and Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematical Analysis J. Abdullayev.
According to the results, the university students won a total of 7 medals, including 2 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals in individual competitions. In the team standings, the university’s first team won a silver medal, while the second team earned a bronze medal.
