On June 20, 2020 at the Faculty of Foreign Philology was held a scientific-theoretical conference on the theme “Theoretical and practical problems of modern philology” dedicated to the 60^th anniversary of Doctor of Philological sciences Choponov Otanazar Otajonovich through Zoom program. The conference was held at a high level and it began with an introductory speech of the rector of Urgench State University B. Abdullayev. The conference was attended by the Deputy Governor of Khorezm region Professor S.K. Salaev, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Professor A. Sadullaev, Professor of UzSWLU D.S. Kulmamatov, Professor of Termez State University P.O. Bakirov, professors of Urgench State University H. Bobojonov, O. Jumaniyozov, Z. Dusimov, the dean of Philology faculty docent D.Q. Gayipov and the dean of Foreign philology faculty docent Z.O. Jumaniyozov and teachers of the faculties of Foreign Philology, Philology and Pedagogics on linguistics and literary criticism with their talks.
