Information and Resource Center of Urgench State University Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the organization of information and library provision of the population of the Republic" dated June 20, 2006 No 381 It was established as the Information Resource Center of Urgench State University by the Resolution No. 135/1 of June 23, 2006 and was approved by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan on February 6, 2017. According to the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On approval of the standard staff of management, technical, service and teaching staff of educational institutions" Given the changes and reductions in the number of departments and positions in the model staff of provider and support staff, including the optimization of the structure of the Information Resource Center, Rganch State University Rector's Order No. 35-I §21 dated April 1, 2017 approved the Regulation "On the Information Resource Center of Urgench State University" and operates on the basis of this Regulation.
Today, the Information Resource Center consists of 5 departments:
1. Scientific-methodical and information-information (periodicals) department.
2. Department of collection, cataloging and systematization of information and library resources.
3. Information and Library Resources Service Department
4. Electronic Information Resources Department
5. Department of Foreign Information and Library Resources
The Information Resource Center is located in the 14th house of H. Olimjon, Urgench city. -Library, in 9 information libraries of faculties the staff of the center provides the same service. The departments have a total of 41 state units and currently have 41 employees. Of these, 26 (63%) have higher education and 15 (37%) have secondary special librarianship. Today, the general book fund of the Information Resource Center consists of 300,267 copies of literature in 21,932 titles, of which 3.4% are the works of the President (593 titles, 10,231 copies), 4.1% are scientific literature (12,401 copies in 2013), 22.5 % textbooks (67644 copies in 4656 titles), 37% textbooks (8698 titles 110937 copies), 18% fiction (3346 titles 54209 copies), 15% other literature (2646 titles 44845 copies) reaches The electronic catalog of the Information Resource Center IRBIS64 and ARMAT programs contain electronic full-text copies of 35,195 publications, 18.5% of textbooks (6519), 38% of textbooks (13387), 11.6% of scientific literature ( 4077), 3.5% fiction (1242), 0.2% complexes and abstracts (65), 28.1% other literature (9905). In 2021, a total of 9329 copies of 968 titles, a total of 531 507 160.13 soums of literature was received. Of these, 3489 copies of textbooks in 447 titles, 2113 copies of textbooks in 282 titles, 414 copies of scientific literature in 12 titles, 1939 copies of fiction in 145 titles and 1374 copies of other titles in 82 titles (dictionary, pamphlet, collection, monograph, book) organizes publications. Of these, 2259 books worth 75,652,968.55 soums were donated literature. In the 2021 academic year, 6455 electronic versions of literature were created, of which 2033 are textbooks, 3191 are textbooks, 357 are scientific, 128 are fiction and 1103 are other literature. 656 copies of Braille literature for the visually impaired students with the Regional Information Library for the Blind, including 12 textbooks, 35 textbooks, 600 fiction, 12 other literature and Contracts were signed for the use of 235 copies of audio literature, including 11 textbooks, 15 textbooks, 197 fiction, 12 books. A total of 30,772 readers are members of the Information Resource Center, including 1,364 professors, 839 employees, 26,932 students, 246 masters, and 1,391 community members. Readers were provided with 224,290 publications in 2021, of which 113,146 were electronic and 111144 were printed publications. In 2021, 27,465 copies of 32 titles of newspapers and 320 titles of 58 titles of magazines were subscribed to and distributed. The information resource center has a total of 116 computers, 15 netbooks, 12 scanners, 4 printers, 10 WIFI, 1 projector, 3 televisions, 19 of which are staff, 20 in faculty libraries, 60 in faculty libraries. in the 201st computer hall of the main IRC, 32 in the computer halls of the dormitory, 12 scanners are constantly working on the creation of electronic versions of literature. In order to provide literature and further improve the independent learning of students in the IRCs of each faculty, WIFI zones have been established. Along with all departments and centers, the information resource center has a website (arm.urdu.uz), which includes the center's news, new opportunities, new publications, membership rules, rights and responsibilities of readers. , electronic catalog programs of the center, useful sites, large libraries of our republic and other countries and important news. The center organizes spiritual and educational events on various topics, important dates, scientific and practical conferences, meetings with writers and poets, evenings dedicated to the birth of great scholars, reading evenings aimed at strengthening the reading culture of students, newcomers. it can be said that presentations and demonstrations of literature were held. Advocacy work to improve the culture of reading and reading has been organized systematically and effectively.

Classical works of world and Uzbek literature, digital copies of ancient manuscripts have been created and widely used in the development of information resource centers, aimed at the comprehensive development and upbringing of children and adolescents. The introduction of modern computer technology in the activities of information resource centers has been transformed into a modern center and the provision of remote information and library services to users has been improved. Along with the "Book World" exhibitions and competitions on "The most active reader", "Reading fiction" are held, the winners are awarded. In 2021, 141 spiritual and educational events were held at our center. These are 16 training seminars, 22 presentations, 28 exhibitions, 13 seminars, 34 meetings, 11 quizzes and 17 others. In short, the staff of the Information Resource Center works in two shifts from 9:00 to 22:00 in order to fully satisfy the needs of readers.
