We are unique family in paradise!

It is known that discussions on reforming the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan are currently underway. The draft of amendments to the Constitution was put up for public discussion. Proposals are being made to amend and add to our Basic Law based on the needs and desires of our citizens.

In fact, according to our current legislation, it is known that the Parliament itself has the authority to introduce amendments to the Constitution. Nevertheless, the fact that the President proposed to consider the draft law in this regard in a public discussion and to adopt it by holding a referendum is an indication that such noble ideas as "For the value of man" and "Man-society-state" are always superior to everything in our country.

Unfortunately, there are cases of misunderstanding in interpreting the essence of the issue in some places. Yesterday's events in the Republic of Karakalpakstan made us all worried.

These processes mean that, without harming the fact that the Uzbek and Karakalpak peoples are blood-brothers, as citizens of the same country, we need to come together and work together for the peace and tranquility of our heavenly Uzbekistan.

For this purpose, while our Honorable President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is using all his strength and opportunities, and the people of Karakalpak and Uzbek people are brothers from time immemorial, we always feel the support of the leader of our country, realizing the intervention of foreign forces.

Instead, the head of our state reached Nukus on time and showed his political will. During the dialogue with the people he noted that according to the people of Karakalpak and their suggestions and opinions, the relevant articles of the Constitution, which are intended to be amended, will remain unchanged, and that the changes in the project were presented only to find out the opinion of the people. These words of the head of our state were an important decision made for peace and stability in the country.

"I proudly say every time that I am a child of both Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan. I always say this from my heart. I put my life on this issue. I will ensure the rule of law and the inevitability of punishment, no matter how difficult it may be." - said our president.

On behalf of the Uzbek people and many thousands of intellectuals, we can say that we support the reasonable policy and the reforms of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the peace of our country, the territorial integrity of our country, the happiness and eternal friendship of the fraternal Karakalpak people and the Uzbek people.

After all, the Uzbek and Karakalpak peoples have been bound together by ties of friendship, history and culture, language, customs and traditions.

The team of Urganch State University, supporting the important and promising reforms initiated by the President in the establishment of New Uzbekistan and New Karakalpakstan, is always in solidarity in the implementation of these good initiatives.
