On the way to strengthen relations between Uzbekistan and Malaysia through education and culture


Today, the delegation headed by the founder and president of Malaysian Management and Science University, Mohd Shukri, visited Urganch State University as part of its visit to Khorezm region.

For information: Malaysian Management and Science University was established in 2001. "QS Rankings-2023" takes the 601st place in the world ranking, and the 147th place among Asian universities. It is one of the leading private universities in Malaysia. Multidisciplinary medical center "MSU Medical Center" and "MSU Pharma" manufacturing and packaging company of pharmaceutical products operate under the university. In addition, the university has a presentation center on the halal industry (MSU International Center for Halal Studies).

The delegation headed by Mohd Shukri was welcomed by UrSU Rector Bakhrom Abdullayev, Head of Khorezm Regional Government Secretariat B. Abdirimov and the university administration.

Before the meeting in a friendly spirit, the parties exchanged information about the possibilities and conditions of both universities. During the interview, Mohd Shukri explained the purpose of this visit: to further strengthen relations between Uzbekistan and Malaysia through education and culture, including the implementation of joint educational and research programs, attracting qualified Malaysian experts and students to the university.

After that, a meeting was held in the spiritual and educational room of the university with the participation of the delegation members, representatives of Khorezm regional government, the administration of Urganch State University and professors and teachers of the Faculty of Economics, Technology, Foreign Philology, Chemical Technology, Physics, and Mathematics.

During the meeting, the members of the delegation made proposals to establish 2+2 joint educational programs between Malaysian Management and Science University and Urganch State University, internship programs, student exchange, and development programs for professors and teachers.

The scientists of the two universities also discussed issues of conducting joint scientific and research work.
