Media-tour was organized in the laboratory building of Urganch State University


Today, on August 20, Urganch State University held a media tour on the topic "Acquaintance with scientific research in the field of melon cultivation at Urganch State University". The media tour was organized in the laboratory building of the university.

Media workers and bloggers included K. Eshchanov, correspondent of "Huquq va isteʼmolchi" newspaper, M. Rozmetov, USAID Agrobusiness Development Project Coordinator, M. Rozmetov, editor-in-chief of xorazmliklar.uz, N. Masharipov, editor-in-chief of xorazmliklar.uz, F. Karimov, birgap.uz. editor-in-chief M. Dusmatov, as well as R. Karimovlar, Ph.D., head of Khorezm region branch of the Scientific-Research Center of Cotton Breeding, participated.

At the beginning of the media tour, the head of the Department of Scientific Affairs, Innovations and IPKT, Y. Djumaniyazova, briefly introduced the guests to the scientific-research works and laboratories conducted in the field of agriculture at Urganch State University.

After that, the head of the "Melon" department of UrSU, Ph.D. S. Sadullayev gave explanations about the activities of this department, its organization, its role and importance in the cultivation of melons in agriculture, the scientific and research work carried out in the department, and introduced the laboratory equipment in this regard, and conducted an experiment using a taste detection device. This aroused great interest in every participant.

Media workers and bloggers discussed scientific projects in the field of melon growing, planting and growing melons, 125 types of melons available in Khorezm region today, the prestige of Khorezm melons in the domestic markets of the republic, a number of melon varieties that meet export requirements, such as Obinavvot, Jiydayaproq, Qilichboy, Gurvak, Zargulobi, their sugar content, as well as the agrotechnology of melons grown without water in the districts of the Lower Amudarya region, the technology of storing and processing melons, they got interesting information about the scientific research conducted today in the experimental farm area of ​​Urganch State University, which is 17.5 hectares.

During the media tour, the guests got to know the GIS Center, Chemical Laboratory, Biological Laboratory and Soil Laboratory in the university laboratory building.

The media tour was full of lively discussion and interesting question-and-answer.
