Belt wrestling qualifying tournament is being held
A number of important works are being carried out at the Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni to ensure the implementation of the tasks set at the videoconference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on February 13, to develop mass sports and strengthen preparations for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In particular, internal university competitions, sports festivals and qualifying competitions are being held regularly.
One of such competitions is today, February 19, at the initiative of the university Sports Club, a qualifying round is being held among students of higher educational institutions in our region in the Belt wrestling type of sport in order to prepare for the “Universiade” sports competitions.
At the moment, the processes are in full swing in the university gyms.
