On the basis of the order of the rector of Urganch State University dated February 1, 2019 No. 22, the Department of “Ecology and Safety of Life Activities” began to operate at the Faculty of Natural Sciences. To the department q/x.f.n. Associate Professor Tajiyev Zakirjon Rajabovich was elected to the position of head of the department. Since 2020, the department has been headed by PhD, Associate Professor Sanobar Yuldashbayevna. The department has a total of 15 professors: 6 associate professors  E.I. Samandarov, Ph.D. G’.Q’Yakubov, Ph.D. Khudayberganova O’.B., PhD. Bobojanova S.Yu., Babadjanova Sh.K., A.A.Masharipov and M.B.Doschanoza, 4 senior teachers Mahmudova D.I., Jumaniyazova Sh.I., Pirova M.Q., Madrimov Kh., 2 teachers, 3 trainee teachers are operating. Professors and teachers working in the department have successfully participated in various republic-wide events in different years and won awards and titles. In particular, associate professor of the department Masharipov A.A., in 2017, received the title of associate professor as the winner of the republic competition “The best pedagogue of a higher educational institution”. [Several textbooks, monographs and textbooks on ecology, medicine and life by professor Ruzmat aka Egamberdiyev, Candidate of Biological Sciences, have been published]. Also, the professors-teachers of the department are conducting test-control activities on the preparation of citizens for emergency situations every year in the field of life safety. The department prepares bachelor’s degrees in the specialty 5630100-Ecology and environmental protection. Specialization for students of inter-faculty “Safety of life activities”, “Civil protection”, “Ecology”, “Ecology and nature protection”, “Ecology and environmental protection” and 5630100-Ecology and environmental protection education line at the department subjects are taught. The winners and participants of republican science olympiads and various competitions are also studying among students. In particular, under the leadership of Jumaniyazova Shakhnoza, R. Abdullayeva won the first place in the Republican Science Olympiad in the field of “Ecology and Environmental Protection” in 2018, the third place in 2019, in the Republican Science Olympiad in the field of “Bology” under the  leadership of Yakubov Gayrat. 15 talented students of ecology and environmental protection are studying in our department.

On July 30, 2020, the senior teacher of the department, S. Yu. Babajanova, received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in agricultural sciences and has been the head of the department since September 2, 2020. Picture

On February 10, 2022, the senior  teacher of the department, M.B.Docshanova, received the scientific degree of philosophy (PhD) in biological sciences.

On August 5, 2023, the senior teacher of the department Kh.B. Rajapov defended the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in economics.

The scientific potential of the department:- 40%, 6 of them are associate professors, the average age of the department’s employees is 42.4 years.

Scientific potential is 40% due to those in the main state (15 people), 33% due to internal and external positions (18 people).
