The scope of educational, methodological, scientific and pedagogical relations of the Department of Economics is very wide, it cooperates with foreign universities, research institutes. In particular, strong ties have been established with the following universities: Tashkent State University of Economics, Tashkent Financial Institute, Institute of Macroeconomic and Social Research, Moscow State University, Astrakhan State University, National Institute for Economic Development of India, German University BONN, University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Kingdom of Spain, French Sorbonne University, Ghent University of Belgium, Italian Podov University, Belarusian National Technical University, Smolensk State University, Russia.

 In the 2020-2021 academic year, the Department of Economics signed agreements with the following organizations: Urgench branch of Hamkorbank, Khorezm Regional National Association of Accountants and Auditors, Khorezm Regional Treasury Department, Khorezm Regional Branch of People's Bank. , Khorezm regional branch of Asaka Bank, Center for Innovation Transfer under the Administration of the Khorezm Region, Stroy Mega Master Enterprise, OJSCB Innovative Corporate Cooperation. Members of the Faculty of Economics are talented students, masters, researchers, professors, representatives of enterprises and organizations.
Professors and teachers of the department conduct research on the priorities of the integrated development of the region, small business and private entrepreneurship in the context of modernizing the economy of Uzbekistan.

The Scientific Council PhD.03 / 28.08.2020.1.55.03 under Urgench State University, which provides academic degrees in 08.00.06 - "Econometrics and Statistics", began its work on August 28, 2020 under the chairmanship of Professor IS Abdullayev.
