The opening ceremony of the Memory Tournament in Mathematics for secondary school students was held
Today, on May 5, 2022, Urgench State University is hosting a Memory Tournament in Mathematics for secondary school students. In this regard, the opening ceremony of the tournament was held at the Palace of Culture of UrSU.
The memory tournament is dedicated to the memory of Ismail Abdullayev, a mathematician, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, docent, who worked at the Khorezm State Pedagogical Institute (now Urgench State University) in 1966-1995.
The opening ceremony was attended by contemporaries, colleagues, honorary teachers, students, faculties of Urgench State University, students and schoolchildren wishing to participate in the tournament.
The event was opened by the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work of UrSU S.Davletov. Honorary teachers of the university H.Bobojonov, S.Masharipova, Ph.D., Prof. G.Satipov, the head of the Department of Public Education of Khorezm region H.Bektemirov also spoke and recalled the good deeds, and memorable events of the teacher. Information was provided on his life, research, and work, his contributions to mathematics, and his continued role in society today.
After that, the Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics J. Khojamov explained to the participants of the Olympiad the rules of the tournament and wished good luck to all participants.
It should be noted that during the tournament there will be a tour of the university, lunch and a ceremony of awarding the winners and a concert program.
