The value of peace…

Peace is the highest blessing bestowed on humanity, and only peace and tranquility can lead a society to progress. We all know that the Uzbek people, as a peace-loving people, have left an indelible mark on world history with their great national and spiritual heritage.

However, none of us has the right to forget the courage and resilience of our people in World War II, which caused great suffering to all mankind. That is why every year our country celebrates May 9 as a day of understanding and appreciation of the courage of more than 1.5 million of our compatriots who took part in the war, the tolerance of our people, who received about a million families and children evacuated from the front lines to Uzbekistan.

In short, May 9 is a day of the appreciation of today's peace of our society.

On May 6 this year, the Khorezm regional branch of the national movement "Yuksalish" in cooperation with the Khorezm regional branch of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Education visited the Museum of Victims of Political Repression in Urgench. The main purpose of the visit is to remember the tragic consequences of World War II, to honor veterans, to commemorate the memory of those who died for the freedom and liberty of our country, to promote their lives and activities.

Visitors to the museum expressed their pride in the suffering of the war years, the horrors of famine, the sacrifices of the Motherland, who endured thousands of dark days in the fate of our generations, and acknowledged the peace and tranquility of today, the renewal and change in all parts of our country.

The exposition of the Museum of Victims of Political Repression is a vivid illustration of the pre-independence process on the basis of historical documents, created at a high ideological and artistic level. It is one of the important cultural and educational centers in the region.

In Khorezm region, 8 participants of the Second World War, living witnesses of almost a century of history, live in honor of our state and our people.
