Meeting with Ulugbek Yusupov, Director of Uzarchive Agency, held at Urgench State University
On May 11, 2022, a meeting was held at Urgench State University with Ulugbek Yusupov, Director of the Uzarchive Agency. Along with the archivists, it was attended by the Deputy Governor of the region S.Salayev, the university administration, professors and students of the Faculty of History, archivists and researchers.
Urgench State University has been cooperating for many years, strengthening cooperation in both scientific and archival fields. Urgench State University, in particular the Faculty of History, also works closely with the state archives in the region. University professors, researchers, doctoral students and students conduct their research in the regional state archives.
During the meeting, detailed reports were made and videos on archival activities were shown.
During the meeting, the Uzarchive Agency and Urgench State University signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed not only between the university and the Khorezm regional department of archives, but also with the Uzarchive agency to ensure the university's close cooperation with the republic's archives and expand the scope of research.
Rector Bahrom Abdullayev on behalf of Urgench State University and Director of the Archive Ulugbek Yusupov on behalf of the Uzarchive Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
At the end of the event, the first vice-rector of UrSU, Ph.D., prof. S.Davletov informed about the previously established cooperation with Urgench State University and Khorezm regional state archives, expressed his views on the tasks ahead and presented the university with gifts.
We are confident that this agreement, within the framework of the requirements of state legislation and its competence, will be effective and beneficial for both sides in the next 5 (five) years.
