October 11 - International Girl's Day

The world community celebrates October 11 as "International Girl's Day" in order to empower girls and help them realize their rights. In connection with this date, a festive event was held today at Urganch State University.

The event was attended by the management of the university, professors and teachers, and students from all faculties. Sanjar Davletov, the first vice-rector for youth affairs, spiritual and educational work of UrSU, while opening the event, said that in our country attention to girls and their comprehensive support is a priority, especially reforms in the field of education.  He warmly greeted the students.

At the beginning of the event, congratulatory words were heard from the leading staff and the veteran teachers who have been working at the university for many years. Those who spoke recognized the work that is being done in our country to support girls in every way, to expand their opportunities for education and vocational training, to ensure their employment and to increase their social activity.

Everyone was especially interested in the speech of E. Vivianna Marcel, who came to our university from the USA and teaches students.

In the artistic part of the holiday, tunes and songs in praise of the girls were played, scenes were performed. The performances of the talented students of UrSU academic lyceum made the celebration even more enjoyable.

Souvenirs were presented to make the students more happy.
