Our guests participated in a cultural event
After the exhibition, the guests took part in a cultural event dedicated to the cooperation between Korea and Uzbekistan. Also, representatives of Khorezm region governorship, director of the Korean National-Cultural Center Antonina Kim, guests from HEIs and schools No. 28 and No. 30 in our region, as well as university management, professors and teachers of the Faculty of Foreign Philology and students took part in this event.
Rector of UrSU B.Abdullayev opened the event with an introduction, expressing confidence that such friendly visits will create a basis for further strengthening of cooperation between the two universities.
In his congratulatory speech, Deputy Governor of Khorezm region S. Salayev noted that friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Korea have been going on for a long time, moreover, today Koreans live in Khorezm in harmony with the Uzbek people, preserving their traditions and culture.
Partner Dongshin University Rector Dr. Lee Ju Hee, in her speech, expressed her immense gratitude for such hospitality, sincerity and tolerance, and expressed confidence that the opening of the Korean language department at Urganch State University in the future will be beneficial for both universities.
After that, students' artistic performances were shown, songs and performances characteristic of Korean culture and traditions were brought to the attention of the audience.
The cultural event culminated in the final stage of the Korean speaking competition among students, and the students performed the knowledge they had learned during their classes on stage in Korean with great skill. This made a deep impression on the hearts of our guests, and at the end of the competition, they presented their souvenirs to the winners.
