The final round of the "Triumph of Poetry" contest was dedicated to the 213th anniversary of Muhammadrizo Ogahi's birth
Today, December 15, the final round of the "Triumph of Poetry" contest, which is traditionally held at Urganch State University in order to raise the morale of students, introduce them to books and poetry, and familiarize them with the life and work of our famous writers, took place. The final round of the contest was dedicated to the 213th anniversary of the birth of the famous Uzbek writer Muhammad Reza Ogahi.
The event was opened by S. Davletov, the first vice-rector for youth affairs and spiritual and educational affairs of UrSU, who spoke about Ogahi's creative work, the khanate period in which the writer lived, expressed his warm thoughts about the tradition of the "Triumph of Poetry" contest and the active participation of students. He wished the participants success. Also, the congratulatory speech of R. Khudoyberganov, advisor to Khorezm region governor, was heard.
Muhammadrizo Ogahi was the author of the most widely published poetic and prose works in the Turkish language during the Khiva khanate period, the creator and forerunner of the Turkish language translation school, in the words of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, "the most and the best". A famous poet, a prolific translator, a sensitive historian, a statesman - mirab.
6 students of the Faculty of Philology, who managed to participate in the final round, praised these aspects of our great ancestor and skillfully performed his poems on stage. All the performed poems, songs and dances, stage shows about Ogahi's creative activity allowed the participants of the event to once again travel through the literary works.
According to the jury's conclusion, the winners of the final stage of the "Triumph of Poetry" are:
1st place: Ismailova Kamola, student of group 204
2nd place: Quvonberdiyeva Avazjon, student of group 206
3rd place: Bekchanova Sharifa, student of group 202
At the end of the event, the dean of the Faculty of Philology D. Gayipov and faculty members congratulated the winners and awarded them with diplomas and mementos.
