Respect to Navoi
Today, on February 9, a spiritual and educational event dedicated to the 582nd anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi on the theme "Respect to Navoi" was organized in cooperation with the faculties of Philology, Technology and Pedagogy of Urganch State University.
The event, which began with an art exhibition of the great poet's works, was opened by the first vice-rector of UrSU S. Davletov with an introduction. Touching upon the personality of Hazrat Alisher Navoi, emphasized that now when the foundation of the Third Renaissance is being created, it is more important than ever to in-depth study and popularize the rich literary heritage of Navoi. Also, the lecture of S. Matkarimova, head of the "Uzbek language and literature" department, was heard.
At the event, students recited samples of Navoi's ghazals and rubai, and staged performances.
