The 582nd anniversary of the birth of Alisher Navoi was widely celebrated at Urganch State University
Today, on February 9, the 582nd anniversary of the birth of Mir Alisher Navoi, the great poet, the sultan of the ghazal, is widely celebrated throughout our country. Of course, this tradition is also held every year in our university.
Today, an artistic evening called "Great Ancestors Are Always Alive" was held at the Palace of Culture of the University under the initiative of the Faculty of Philology. It was attended by representatives of the Khorezm regional government, members of the Khorezm regional branch of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, well-known artists of the region, management, professors and students of Urganch State University.
The event was opened by the Rector of UrSU B.Abdullayev with an introduction, he touched on the life and work of Alisher Navoi, a great figure in the history of Uzbek literature and culture, a great statesman.
Alisher Navoi's priceless legacy is a great source of life for not only the Turkic peoples, but also for the whole of humanity, one of the living spiritual inspirations, the unparalleled genius of thinking who has been leading the caravan of Turkish thought for nearly six centuries, and his works, each line of which is worth gold, are the supreme lessons of humanity. It was recognized by the guests and lovers of literature who took part in the literary and artistic evening. They focused on the wide study and promotion of Alisher Navoi's life, high humanitarian ideas, and scientific and literary heritage in our country and internationally.
During the event, national classical status songs based on Navoi's ghazals, which are deeply rooted in the hearts of our people, were sung live by well-known artists of our region and talented students of the Faculty of Pedagogy.
The artistic evening was connected to the final round of the "Navoi Khan Student" contest.
