600-bed student dormitory opened at Urgench State University


On August 26, a total of 18 new student dormitories with a combined capacity of 9,980 beds, as well as two modern academic buildings (with capacities of 1,000 and 2,000 students), were inaugurated across the country. The official opening ceremony was held centrally via the Zoom platform and conducted simultaneously in several regions.

Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, also took part in this historic event. In accordance with Presidential Decree No. PF-60 dated January 28, 2022, and Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 563 dated September 9, 2021, a modern 7-story student dormitory with a capacity of 600 beds and a cost of 28.2 billion UZS was constructed and commissioned at 43 Mustaqillik Street, Urgench district.

The conditions created for students include all necessary amenities for their education, rest, and well-being.

Urgench State University is starting the new academic year with a renewed spirit and new achievements!
