The opening ceremony of the RISMUz research center was held

Today, September 25, at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, the opening ceremony of the 2nd RISMUz project research center, a joint Uzbekistan-Germany initiative, was held.

The solemn event was attended by the acting rector of UrSU, S.Khodjaniyozov, the project leader, Professor Dr.-Ing. Wulf-Holger Arndt from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany, and other distinguished guests who spoke at the event. Following this, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a tour introducing the center’s activities took place.

During the ceremony, a cooperation memorandum was signed between the parties. This memorandum aims to further strengthen collaboration in the field of sustainable mobility in education, research, and scientific exchange.

Additionally, the memorandum outlined tasks such as developing a modern business model for the center, conducting joint research activities, developing joint educational programs, collaborating on scientific publications, and organizing faculty exchanges for research, lectures, and discussions.

The activity of the new research center is significant not only for Urgench State University but also for enhancing the scientific potential of the entire region. It will also serve to adopt advanced practices in transport safety and logistics, apply modern scientific approaches in practice, ensure sustainable mobility at city and regional levels, and improve the efficiency of passenger transportation systems.
