International Day of the Girl Celebrated at Urgench State University as a Festival of Kindness and Inspiration

On October 10, Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni hosted a festive event dedicated to the International Day of the Girl, under the slogan “We Inspire the World Towards Peace and Kindness!”, initiated by the University’s Women’s Advisory Council. The event was attended by university leadership, faculty members, female students, and special guests.

The celebration began with speeches by First Vice-Rector of UrSU D.Ibadullayev, Chairwoman of the Women’s Advisory Council N. Atajanova, and guest professor Minara Guliyeva from the prestigious Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University of Türkiye. They warmly congratulated the students on the occasion and emphasized the active role of young women in science, culture, and public life.

This was followed by the artistic segment. Talented students from the Faculty of Philology and Arts performed musical pieces, theatrical sketches, and poetry readings. The vibrant performance by the “Jaykhun” orchestra added a festive spirit to the event.

The most captivating part of the celebration was the national costume showcase, which promoted cultural heritage. Female students modeled garments they had designed themselves, filling the stage with color and a strong sense of national identity.

This event served not only as a joyful celebration but also as a true source of inspiration, encouraging the younger generation toward kindness, diligence, and creativity.
