A meeting was held with representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Tashken


On February 9 of the current year, representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent — Public Diplomacy Officer Anna Balogh and Academic Exchanges Coordinator Hamid Inomkhojayev — paid a visit to Urgench State University.

As part of the visit, an official meeting was held with the participation of Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Z.Ibragimov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Gh.Orazboyev, Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences J.Ruzimov, and Professor of the Department of Agronomy N.Ibragimov.

During the meeting, the guests were provided with detailed information about the university’s activities, its international cooperation, and ongoing collaborative projects.

The representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent also announced that Fulbright Program researcher Robert Craig Schwartz will teach students at the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences during the spring semester of the 2025–2026 academic year and will conduct joint research activities with university researchers.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the university administration expressed gratitude for the assignment of a specialist within the framework of the Fulbright Program and confirmed its intention to continue scientific cooperation in the future.
