The “IX International Uzbekistan Guides Forum – 2026” Was Held
At Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, the “IX International Uzbekistan Guides Forum – 2026” was organized by the Department of Tourism in honor of “February 21 – World Tourist Guides Day.”
The forum was attended by specialists from the Research Institute for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, officials of the Khorezm Regional Department of Tourism, guides working in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, as well as professors and students of the Department of Tourism at Urgench State University.
During the forum, industry experts discussed the improvement of tourist guide activities, modern guiding standards, international experience and innovative approaches, as well as the use of digital technologies. Presentations were also delivered on the important role of guides in developing tourism in the country, promoting national cultural heritage, and enhancing the culture of working with foreign tourists.
At the end of the event, guides demonstrating effective professional activity were awarded certificates from the Research Institute for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and commemorative gifts in various nominations.
