Thursday – Youth Day: Meeting Between Leadership and Youth

On February 24 of this year, the President of our country, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his dialogue with young people, announced that every Thursday would henceforth be observed as “Youth Day” in ministries, agencies, and local government bodies.

As part of the implementation of this initiative, today, on February 26, a meeting titled “Leader and Youth” was organized at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni.

The meeting was opened by the Acting Rector of the university, S.Khodjaniyazov, who particularly emphasized the reforms being carried out in the country to unlock the intellectual potential of young people and to support their scientific and innovative activities.

During the event, the guest speaker, Head of the Khorezm Regional Department of the State Security Service, U.Raupov, spoke about the initiatives put forward by the President, the priority tasks aimed at supporting youth, and the recent developments in the fields of education and science. He provided students with important recommendations on acquiring modern knowledge and skills and contributing достойly to the development of the country.

In addition, U.Bekmonov, Head of the Department of the Khorezm Regional Branch of JSC “Oʻzmilliybank,” delivered detailed information on youth-oriented loans within the framework of the “Kelajakka qadam” program. The procedures for obtaining loans, required documents, preferential terms, and mechanisms for supporting youth entrepreneurial initiatives were explained.

At the end of the meeting, the proposals and initiatives of the young participants were heard, supported, and practical assistance measures were determined.
