A scientific-practical conference on the theme "Yeturmak elga rohat qudratim yetgunchadir korim" and the final round of the contest "Triumph of Poetry" were held.

This year the 212th anniversary of the birth of Muhammad Rizo Erniyozbek oglu Ogahi, a brilliant representative of the 19th century Khiva literary environment, author of great historical works, statesman, skilled calligrapher and prolific artist.

In this regard, today, December 15, at the Culture Hall of UrSU was held a scientific-practical conference by the Philology Faculty on the topic "Yeturmak elga rohat qudratim yetgunchadir korim"

The conference was attended by representatives of the Khorezm regional administration, members of the regional Writers' Union, university professors and students.

The event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Youth Issues, Spiritual and Educational Affairs of UrSU S.Davletov, who gave a speech on "Ogahiy buyuk siymo" and moderated the conference.

Speeches of R.Khudayberganov - Adviser to the Governor on the state language - "On the publication of historical works of Ogahi", the head of the department "Uzbek language and literature", docent S.Matkarimova - "Agahi's Approach to Navoi's Pand Gazelle", Doctor of Philology, docent A.Urazbaev and etc.- "Mahmud Zamakhshari's work" Muqaddimat ul-adab "is an important linguistic and literary monument of the Middle Ages" and congratulatory speeches of members of the regional Writers' Union B.Bekmatov and Shoira Shams were heard.

This scientific-practical conference was connected with the final round of the "Triumph of Poetry" contest. The final round of the contest was dedicated to Ogahi's poetry, in which 6 students of the university competed in the field of art.

The performances, plays and songs performed by the 197th Uzbek language group took a deep place in the hearts of the audience.

Each participant's performance was judged by juries. According to the results of the contest:

1st place: Yuldasheva Nodira: student of the 185th Uzbek language group of the Philology Faculty;

1st place: Matkarimova Nuriya, student of the 189th group of the Pedagogy Faculty;

2nd place: Karimova Bibirobiya, student of the 184th Uzbek language group of the Philology Faculty;

3rd place: Ismailova Kamola, student of the 204th Uzbek language group of the Philology Faculty

The winners were awarded with diplomas and a set of books.
