The "Reader Student" contest was held based on the novel "Abu Rayhan Beruni" by the People's Writer of Uzbekistan Isajon Sultan.
On the occasion of the 1050th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker, and encyclopedist Abu Rayhan Beruni, the novel "Abu Rayhan Beruni" by the People's Writer of Uzbekistan Isajon Sultan was published in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan.
This work is a historical-biographical novel dedicated to the life and activities of our great ancestor.
Also, the historical events that happened in Movarounnahr and Khurasan, events related to the lives of bold and brave generals Alptegin, Sabuktegin, Sultan Mahmud and Mas'ud Ghaznavis are interestingly described in the work.
Today, May 26, the Faculty of Philology held the next round of the "Reader Student" contest at the university level based on the terms of the novel "Abu Rayhan Beruni" and Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist".
It should be noted that the first round of the contest was held on May 23 of this year with the participation of more than 50 students on the basis of a test based on the above works. 10 students who won in this 1st round, today in the 2nd round, based on 2 tasks, tried their strength in the artistic arena.
The contentious processes of this competition, which aims to widely promote the culture of reading among young people, as well as the presentation of the life and work of Abu Rayhan Beruni prepared by the students of the 208th group, a video prepared on the activities of the writer Isajon Sultan, stage performances and beautiful dances and songs created an upbeat mood in the audience.
It is gratifying that the performances of the play "Abu Rayhan Beruni" not only left a great impression on the students who attended the contest as spectators but also created a great opportunity to get to know this play.
Each event, which took place in a creative spirit with the participation of literate students, was duly evaluated by the jury.
In the end, the dean of the Faculty of Philology, D. Gayipov, awarded diplomas and souvenirs to the winners of the contest.
