Regular Meeting of the Academic and Methodological Council Held at Urgench State University

On February 28, the third meeting of the Academic and Methodological Council was held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni. The meeting was attended by faculty deans, heads of departments, and heads of structural divisions of the university.

The meeting was chaired by Acting Rector S. Khodjaniyazov. During the session, a number of important issues aimed at further improving the quality of the educational process and enhancing academic and methodological activities were discussed.

In particular, reports and information were presented by responsible officials on the following matters:
• the status of completion and supervision of course papers and course projects at the Faculty of Computer Engineering;
• organization of the educational process in the Master’s program based on the credit-module system;
• the use of modern information and communication technologies in the educational process at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics;
• the conduct of scientific-theoretical and methodological seminars at the Faculty of Foreign Philology;
• implementation of the plan for publishing new textbooks and the status of published educational literature at the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences.

At the conclusion of the discussions, relevant instructions and recommendations were given to eliminate identified shortcomings, disseminate best practices, and further improve the effectiveness of organizing the educational process.
