An Important Meeting with the Participation of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions Was Held

On March 15 of the current year, an important meeting with the participation of rectors of all higher education institutions of the republic was held in the city of Samarkand at Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction. During the meeting, a draft decree aimed at bringing the field of higher education, science, and innovation to a new stage of development was discussed.

The meeting was attended by Ilhom Sirojev, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, as well as other responsible officials of the sector.

At the beginning of the meeting, an organizational issue was considered. In particular, Feruza Madraximova, who was appointed as the Rector of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, was introduced to the community of rectors.

In addition, during the meeting, discussions focused on improving the management of higher education institutions, enhancing the quality of education, developing science and innovation, and strengthening the international competitiveness of universities.

During the discussions, the rectors put forward a number of practical proposals and initiatives and expressed important opinions aimed at further developing the sector.
