The origins of corruption in higher education institutions
A CIRCULAR INTERVIEW WAS HELD WITH THE STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF PEDAGOGY
The higher education system is an important factor in building the new Uzbekistan. The higher the potential of the education system, the greater the chance of achieving the goals of the reforms. For this reason, prevention of problems that harm the educational potential is considered the most urgent task of today.
▪️On this occasion, a roundtable discussion on the topic "Origins of corrupt situations in higher education institutions" was organized today with the participation of 3rd year students of the Faculty of Pedagogy of Urganch State University, Department of Primary Education and Organization and Management of Culture and Art Institutions.
▫️UrDU rector's adviser R. Sharipov, head of the department of management of the "Compliance-control" system for fighting against corruption H. Shihova, dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy A. Khudaiberganov and tutors took part in it.
In the open dialogue, various negative situations that can be encountered in the field of higher education, in particular, conflict of interests, use of plagiarism, familiarity in the evaluation of knowledge, the reasons and conditions that cause them, were thoroughly analyzed, and the necessary recommendations for their prevention were given.
It was explained to the students through several examples that corruption cases have negative consequences not only during the student period, but throughout their life.
Information was given about the laws and by-laws aimed at preventing corruption cases, regular fight against corruption based on the principle of "Honesty vaccine", content of new legal acts.
During the meeting, students' opinions were heard and their questions were answered.
