Republican training seminar on "Increasing women's social and political participation, issues of gender equality and gender culture" has started
The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Committee for Family and Women of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a seminar on April 14-15 the republican training seminar on "Increasing women's social and political participation, issues of gender equality and gender culture" has started.
The seminar is hosted by Urgench State University and is attended by more than 150 chairwomen of the Women's Advisory Board of higher education institutions.
The seminar was opened by the First Vice-Rector for Youth Issues and Spiritual-Educational Affairs of UrSU S.Davletov, who expressed his gratitude with the visit and wished success to the seminar.
At the opening of the conference, Deputy Governor of Khorezm region, Head of the Department of Family and Women G. Kurbanbaeva, Adviser to the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education O. Jamoldinova spoke about the importance of organizing this training seminar. In response to the high attention paid to the role of women in our country, they stressed the importance of such meetings, which will create a great basis for the exchange of experiences and the organization of effective work.
After that, the seminar continued its work on the issues on the agenda.
The agenda of the seminar includes the legal framework of opportunities for women in Uzbekistan, the current challenges facing the higher education system in the implementation of reforms to support women in the country, the protection of women from oppression and violence by law enforcement agencies. There are a number of issues that need to be addressed, such as cooperation between educational institutions and the causes of domestic violence.
