A scientific conference was held on the topic of "Abu Rayhan Beruni's socio-philosophical views".
On February 24, 2023, on the occasion of the 1050th anniversary of the birth of the great scholar Abu Rayhan Beruni, "Social and philosophical views of Abu Rayhan Beruni" in cooperation with Urganch State University, Khorezm Ma'mun Academy and the regional branch of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment a scientific conference was held.
It was attended by scientists, scientific staff of the Khorezm Ma'mun Academy, university management, professors and teachers of the Faculty of History, students of all faculties, and a group of famous scientists through the Zoom platform.
The conference was opened by the first vice-rector for youth affairs and spiritual and educational affairs of UrSU, Doctor of Sciences in History, Prof. S. Davletov introduced and moderated.
Speakers at the conference included the member of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, the well-known writer Q. Muhammadrizo with his scientific and artistic views on the trilogy "Abu Rayhan Beruni", the head of the department "Theory of building a democratic society in Uzbekistan", prof. M. Khajiyeva "The place and role of the spiritual legacy of Abu Rayhan Beruni in the formation of the worldview of the youth", K. Sobirov, professor of the "History" department, "Historical foundations of the scientific views of the era of Abu Rayhan Beruni", "Museum of Victims of Repressions" in the structure of Urganch State University” museum director, Ph.D. Assoc. Y. Rahmonova gave a lecture on "Abu Rayhon Beruni's life and contribution to the development of world civilization", O. Avezmurotov, a teacher of the "Physics" department of UrSU, gave a lecture on "Heliocentric views of the structure of the universe in the works of Abu Rayhan Beruni."
Also, through the Zoom program, the advisor to the director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, Doctor of Philological Science, Prof. "Elements of synergetic thinking in the philosophy of Abu Rayhan Beruni" by B. Torayev, Sh. Matyokubov, a junior researcher at Khorezm Ma'mun Academy, "Foundation of Ma'mun Academy during the Ma'muni period and the scientific activity of Abu Rayhan Beruni", D. Rozmetov, scientific secretary of Khorezm Ma'mun Academy, "Abu Rayhon Beruni's lectures on geography" were heard.
After the discussions of the plenary meeting, the scientific conference continued its work by dividing into branches.
