Briefing
On October 5, 2021, a briefing was held at Urgench State University on the topic “Conditions created for students and youth, issues of accommodation, meaningful organization of their leisure time”.
The head of the department of Youth issues, Spiritual and Educational affairs Sh.Allaberganov, director of the Student Campus Z.Yusupov, chairwoman of the Women's Council Sh.Nurullaeva, as well as student-youth, took part in the event.
At this briefing, head of the department of Youth issues, Spiritual and Educational affairs Sh.Allaberganov made a statement on the topic and stated the following:
Urgench State University has 6 dormitories. The capacity of the student residence is designed for 1798 seats. From the 2021-2022 academic year, additional places have been created to meet the demand, reached the number of 2,234.
Today, 2,234 students are accommodated. Students are placed in dormitories based on the following sequence of criteria:
- Orphan students (regardless of their course);
- “Orphanages” pupils;
- Differently-abled students (regardless of their course);
- Students in need of social protection, low-income students (as well as 2 or more people in one family studying on a tuition fees basis);
- Foreign students;
- Student girls;
- Active students of Youth Union ;
- Students who have won International Science Olympiads;
- Students who took part in the renovation of student residence as part of the youth labor group "Fidokor" during the summer holidays;
- Students who are constantly active in the student residence as a chairman of the Student Council, Floor Leaders and with other aspects.
Today, the dormitory has all the necessary conditions for students to live, to organize their leisure time meaningfully, to organize their vocational and business training. In particular, there is an Architecture and Design Room, Start Ups Center, Project Factory, Practical Didactic Work Room, Sewing, What? Where? When? Intellectual Game Room, Fitness Club, English Language Center.
During the briefing, questions from students were answered by officials.
