The census pays special attention to employment surveys

All the demographic questions in the census program are important in forecasting the economy in the future and in determining the criteria for further development.

The census program includes the following questions related to employment:

  • basic labor activity;
  • place of work;
  • during the last week before the start of the census (October 24-31 of the year in which the census is held) any activity that is paid or generates income, regardless of the type of activity that it has been engaged in;
  • the fact that the census was looking for a job in October of the current year, the opportunity to get a job within two weeks, the reason for not working.

In particular, while the answers to the above employment survey provide an opportunity to study the labor market and create new jobs where it is needed, information on employers in the country will help to develop and encourage private entrepreneurship. Through registration data, businesses will be able to assess the state of the labor and consumer markets and determine the need for supply and demand.
