An open dialogue was held on the topic "Drug addiction is the plague of the century, let's protect our youth from it!"
On October 14 this year at Urgench State University an open dialogue "Drug addiction is the plague of the century, let's protect our youth from it!" was organized with the participation of experts in the field.
The event was chaired by Sanjar Davletov, Vice-Rector for Youth Issues and Spiritual and Educational Affairs of UrSU.
The event was attended by A. Matlyubov, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, F. Azgarov, Officer of the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh. Jurayev, Officer of the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, M. Sherjanov, Officer of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs, D. Eshchanov, a doctor of the regional branch of the Specialized Narcology Research Center, spoke. They noted that humanity is reaching new heights with its intelligence, hard work, knowledge, and talent and that it is unfortunate that humanity itself is causing to drug addiction,one of the threats to the future of peoples and nations in the world.
According to the United Nations, more than 27 million people worldwide are addicted to drugs. Most of them are under 30 years old. As a result, more than 200,000 people die each year. Unfortunately, drug abuse is a major cause of serious and heinous crimes, as well as a violation of the gene pool of families and nations, and they called on students to lead a healthy lifestyle and play sports regularly. During the open discussion, students received answers to their questions.
The dialogue was attended by media representatives.
