A scientific-practical conference started on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the birth of the People's Poet of Uzbekistan, Amon Matjon

At the moment, a scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Amon Matjon's birth is being held at the Palace of Culture of Urganch State University on the initiative of the Faculty of Philology.

Representatives of Khorezm regional administration, writers and poets, representatives of state and public organizations, literary scholars, professors and teachers of the Faculty of Philology and students are taking part in it.

Scientists of partner foreign and republican higher education institutions, scientists, in particular, head of the department of the Institute of Literature of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences, Ph.D., prof. Almaz Ulviy Binnatova, Director of Alisher Navoi Literature Museum of UzFA, Ph.D., prof. Jabbar Eshanqul, QDPI professor, Ph.D. Zebokhon Qabilova, senior researcher of the Institute of Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore of UzFA, prof. Rahmatilla Barakayev gives the conference an international status.

Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Ph.D. Z. Ibragimov, vice-rector for Research and Innovation of UrSU, opened the scientific-practical conference moderated by D. Gayipov and wished success to the conference.

In fact, the national poet of Uzbekistan Amon Matjon is one of the leaders of Uzbek poetry of the 20th century. Those who received congratulatory words at the conference recognized Amon Matjon's great services to the Motherland as a poet, state and public figure, and his prolific work.

After that, it was the turn of the reports from the general meeting of the conference.
