Summer School on "Future prospects of perovskite based solar cells: Low carbon energy conversion through advanced functional materials" has started its activity

This summer school, scheduled for May 14-21 of this year, is being organized at Khiva "Ichan-Kala" and Urganch State University.

Global climate change, the ever-increasing world energy consumption and the inevitable depletion of limited hydrocarbon energy resources have prompted an intense search for renewable and commercially viable low-carbon energy sources. Among them, solar energy can be considered as one of the clean, efficient and virtually unlimited energy sources of the future. The widespread adoption of solar energy, especially its conversion to electricity, should contribute significantly to the transition to low- or zero-carbon energy globally.

This ongoing summer school will provide a forum to discuss the latest advances, challenges and prospects for the development of commercially viable and sustainable perovskite solar technology. Therefore, in addition to fundamental scientific issues, the practical implementation of QEs (PSCs) in the field of renewable energy will be considered in the lectures, discussions and talks presented to the school audience.

A group of famous foreign scientists are participating in this summer school:

Tsutomu Miyasaka (Japan);

Joel Smith (UK);

Francesca Brunetti (Italy);

Kai Brinkmann (Germany);

Vladimir Dyakonov (Germany);

Ralf Heiderhoff (Germany);

Thomas Riedl (Germany);

Michele Sessolo (Spain);

Selina Olthof (Germany);

Jose Rajan (Malaysia);

Alexander Kolsmann (Germany);

Satoshi Uchida (Japan);

Shuzi Hayase (Japan).
