The Rector met with the staff of the Faculty of Intellectual Sciences and Technologies


Today, Rector of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, Feruza Madrahimova, held another meeting with the staff of the Faculty of Intellectual Sciences and Technologies.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dean of the Faculty Erkinjon Avazov presented a report on the work carried out during the 2025/2026 academic year, the results achieved, as well as the priority tasks planned for the 2026/2027 academic year.

During the meeting, the scientific potential indicators of the departments were analyzed, and issues related to further increasing scientific capacity, broadly involving foreign professors and lecturers in the educational process, and sending academic staff abroad for internships were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the development of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, strengthening its material, technical and scientific infrastructure, and providing students with broader opportunities to engage with the laboratory. Relevant tasks were identified to intensify efforts in the development of IT technologies and the creation of modern digital solutions.

The meeting also emphasized the need to apply artificial intelligence technologies across various sectors, expand research in these areas, strengthen the faculty’s scientific potential and implement “Spin-off” projects in practice.

Special attention was also given to the preparation and publication of textbooks and teaching materials, as well as the integration of advanced educational programs into the educational process.

The meeting also addressed issues related to ensuring student employment, effectively organizing student clubs, increasing the number of scholarship recipients, providing students with accommodation, and improving the activities of tutors. Specific tasks were identified in each of these areas.
