A meeting between the Rector and the staff of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics was held


Today, in the second half of the day, Rector of Urgench State University Feruza Madrahimova held a meeting with the staff of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty, Rasulbek Sharipov, presented a report on the work carried out by the faculty during the 2025/2026 academic year, the results achieved, as well as the priority tasks planned for the 2026/2027 academic year.

During the meeting, particular attention was paid to the effective organization of teaching and methodological activities and research work, further development of scientific and academic potential, improvement of the activities of research schools, and the regular organization of scientific and theoretical seminars.

In addition, priority tasks were identified regarding the publication of research articles in prestigious journals indexed in the Scopus database, expanding the publication of monographs, and sending teachers abroad for professional development and internships, as well as systematically developing the “Teacher–Student” mentorship tradition.

In order to improve the quality of education, the meeting also addressed the integration of advanced curricula from prestigious foreign higher education institutions ranked among the TOP 300 into the educational process, the involvement of foreign professors and lecturers in teaching and research activities, the development of dual education, and the attraction of foreign investment.

Particular emphasis was placed on the fact that one of the important tasks facing the Department of Physics is introducing scientific developments into practice, commercializing innovative projects, and establishing “Spin-off” companies.

The meeting also focused on ensuring employment opportunities for graduates, effectively organizing career-oriented clubs, providing students with accommodation, increasing the number of scholarship recipients, providing targeted support to talented students, and thoroughly preparing them for academic subject Olympiads.

At the conclusion of the meeting, those responsible were given specific instructions and assignments regarding the areas discussed.
