Urgench state university helds award ceremony of "Rector's Cup" sports competitions
In order to implement 5 important initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at Urgench State University, in particular, the work on attracting young people to a healthy lifestyle and sports, which is the essence of its 2nd direction, among university professors and students during 2020/2021 - the academic year, "Rector's Cup" competitions were held regularly. In particular, a total of 40 teams in 17 sports among men and 15 teams in 14 sports among women took part actively in these competitions.
On June 19, 2021, the teams that won prizes in the "Rector's Cup" during the 2020/2021 academic year were summed up and an award ceremony was held. S.Davletov, Vice-Rector for Youth and Spiritual-Educational Affairs of UrSU, M.Rahimov, Deputy Chairman of UrSU Sports Club, S.Kopalov, and Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture and professors of the faculty took part in the awarding ceremony. The strongest winning teams were awarded the "Rector's Cup" and diplomas and souvenirs for 3 places.
Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Vice-Rector S. Davletov thanked all the students and their coaches and noted that similar competitions will be held in other sports in the future.
