Regarding this post, the administration of Urganch State University states the following:

In recent years, attention to the field of education, like all fields, is increasing day by day. We can see this in the dramatic increase in admission quotas over the next six years. In particular, in 2016, 6,500 students studied at Urganch State University. Now there are 29,246 people.

In particular, 5,909 new students were added to the number of newly admitted Urganch State University in the academic year 2023/2024, as well as graduates of technical schools, those admitted to the second specialty, students who transferred their studies from the republic's state HEIs, foreign and non-state HEIs. In addition, 1053 students were recommended to study at Urganch State University this year due to the allocation of additional admission quotas for young people from Karakalpakstan. So, currently there are 29,246 students studying in the university in full-time, part-time and distance education.

Today, Urganch State University has 7 educational buildings, their capacity is 9270 places. Despite the fact that classes are conducted in 2 shifts, there is a need for additional 730 places.

In addition, in the 2022/2023 academic year, the Urganch State Pedagogical Institute was established on the basis of 11 pedagogical education areas and 7 pedagogical master's specialties of the Urganch State University, and 3 modern educational buildings of the Urganch State University with 1880 seats were placed at the disposal of the Urganch State Pedagogical Institute.

Therefore, based on the demand, the empty floors of the educational building of the Urganch City Construction Technical College were rented on the basis of a contract, and some departments of the Faculty of Pedagogy were moved to this building. This building is located in the center of the city, and for the convenience of students who come from distant districts, this technical school building was rented. At the moment, students of the technical school are also studying in the building.

Urgench State University is currently taking appropriate measures to eliminate the deficiencies in the building.
