Dear compatriots, dear staff of our university!

I sincerely congratulate you, dear ones, on the upcoming New 2024 year. I wish you all the greatest prosperity, health and family happiness. May endless joy, grace and blessing, peace and tranquility never leave your home in the New Year! Of course, every passing year gives us an incentive to more deeply sense the value of life and time, to take stock of our work, make plans for the future, and identify priority goals. The past year has been a year of great achievements and milestones for our university.I would like to highlight some of our achievements that are the result of good deeds and hard work by our team during this 2023 year.

In particular, taking into account the need for personnel in our region, 27 new educational directions and 4 new master’s specialties were opened; 77 university professors and teachers defended their dissertations for the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy, 4 scientific degrees of Doctor of Technical Sciences. 17 people received the title of associate professor and 5 professors; As a result of the research, 938 scientific articles, 57 monographs, 33 textbooks, 110 educational and methodological manuals were published. Patents were received for 6 inventions, 2 utility models, 1 trademark and 2 industrial designs, as well as copyright certificates for 20 computer programs;

For the 2023/2024 academic year, a 1+1 format with the National Technical University of Belarus, included in the TOP-1000, for a master's degree in economics and a 2+2 format with the Aegean University of Turkey for teaching languages   and philology: in the direction of a bachelor's degree in German, major agreements have been reached on establishing training personnel based on joint educational programs in cooperation; In order to introduce advanced foreign experience into the educational process of the university and further improve the quality of education, 52 foreign professors were attracted from prestigious higher educational institutions in the USA, Norway, Greece, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, India, Russia, Azerbaijan, Slovenia and Turkey - teachers and specialists; On the territory of the university on Kh. Olimidzhon Street in the city of Urgench, a “smart” educational building designed for 2000 places was built and put into use. For students of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, courts for mini-football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, handball, and open sports grounds have been built and put into use.

Dear students-youngsters!

The high achievements of our students in the past year greatly pleased the entire team. 22 university students became laureates of a state scholarship named after the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan;The team of our university took part in the republican final stage of the “Olympiad of Five Initiatives” and took an honorable 3rd place.

Akbar Otaboev, a teacher at the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature of the Faculty of Uzbek Philology, the winner of the 2023 republican competition received the Ilkhom Prize, and as the main prize he was awarded a car "Spark";

At the International Olympiad of Foreign Languages, organized within the framework of cooperation between the Udmurt State University of Russia and Urgench State University, our 4th-year student NurmuhammadElbek took an honorable 1st place on the German language, and in English and French, 4th-year students became winners in nominations.

Student-athletes of Urgench State University took an honorable 2nd place in the national final of the Universiade sports competitions, held among students of higher educational institutions of our country in 15 sports. It must be admitted that at these Universiade sports competitions, our students won championships in football, volleyball, rugby and judo.

Also, the team of our university took an honorable 3rd place in the national finals of the sports competition “Olympiad of Five Initiatives”.
