Cooperation with Prestigious Turkish Higher Education Institutions Is Being Strengthened


Currently, Acting Rector of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, S.Khodjaniyazov, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Türkiye, participated in discussions aimed at further strengthening cooperation with several prestigious higher education institutions of Türkiye.

In particular, a meeting was held with the Rector of Istanbul Commerce University, Prof. Dr.Necip Şimşek, during which issues related to enhancing cooperation between the two universities were discussed. The negotiations included an exchange of views on prospects for collaboration in education, research activities, academic mobility, and the implementation of joint projects.

Additionally, during a meeting with the Vice Rector of Istanbul University, Prof. Nergiz Dağoğlu Sakin, matters concerning the further development of inter-university cooperation were discussed. Special importance was attached to reaching agreements on launching a Bachelor’s degree program in Philology (Turkish Language) at Urgench State University in cooperation with Istanbul University starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, as well as organizing winter and summer schools for students.

At a meeting with the Vice Rector of Boğaziçi University, Prof. Fatih Usluer, promising areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed. The parties thoroughly exchanged views on international academic mobility, inviting leading professors to UrSU, organizing summer and winter camps for students, introducing artificial intelligence technologies into the educational process, and admitting UrSU students to study at Boğaziçi University.
