The President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan met with researchers of UrSU

Today, the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Academician Shavkat Ayupov, accompanied by Ikrom Abdullayev, Chairman of the Khorezm Mamun Academy, visited Urgench State University and held a meeting with the university team and researchers led by Rector Feruza Madrahimova.

In his speech, Academician Shavkat Ayupov emphasized that the Khorezm region is the homeland of the great scholar Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, noting that this land has long been known as a center of mathematics and has made an invaluable contribution to the development of science. He also discussed major initiatives put forward by the Head of State, including the concept of the Third Renaissance, as well as large-scale scientific and educational projects such as the Center of Islamic Civilization and the Imam al-Bukhari complex.

During the meeting, the history of the Academy of Sciences and its development during the years of independence were analyzed, and special attention was paid to the strong support currently being given to science and education. The importance of increasing the effectiveness of scientific research, widely implementing innovative approaches, and enhancing the role and responsibility of scientists was emphasized. Information was also provided about the activities of the V.I. Romanovskiy Institute of Mathematics.

The meeting continued in the format of an open dialogue, where researchers asked questions of interest, raised issues related to their scientific work, and shared proposals, receiving comprehensive answers.
