Today, Urgench State University hosted a roundtable discussion titled “An Enlightened Woman is the Foundation of a Strong Family” dedicated to “May 15 — International Day of Families.”
The event was attended by Deputy Governor of the Khorezm region Nigora Kutlimuratova, University Rector Feruza Madrahimova, Chairperson of the Women’s Advisory Council Jamila Ermetova, Chairperson of the regional “Enlightened Women” Council Sayyora Samandarova, as well as women scholars of the university.
During the discussion, participants addressed important issues such as preserving and strengthening family values, increasing women’s social engagement, the role of the family in youth education, women’s participation in the development of science and innovation, and the importance of cooperation between education and the community in ensuring family well-being.
Rector Feruza Madrahimova emphasized the significant social responsibility of higher education institutions in supporting family welfare. She also noted that paying close attention to the lives of female students, implementing collaborative initiatives, and providing moral support are essential for helping young women achieve suitable place in society.
As part of the roundtable discussion, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor M. Baltayeva, and PhD in Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor A. Babajanova delivered presentations about their scientific achievements, experiences, and research activities.
In addition, the event featured the presentation of the booklet “Towards Perfection,” prepared by members of the Women’s Council, which includes international experiences and impressions of the university’s women scholars.
