A MAJOR VICTORY FOR OUR TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES!
At the final stage of the track and field competitions within the “Students’ Olympiad of New Uzbekistan”, held in Tashkent on June 5–6, student-athletes of Urgench State University achieved outstanding results and once again honorably represented our university.
According to the final results of the competition, our students won:
6 gold medals
5 silver medals
1 bronze medal
and secured an impressive 1st place in the overall team standings.
Sardorbek Adamboyev — Gold medalist in the 100-meter and 200-meter races;
Intizor Shukhratova — Gold medalist in the 100-meter and 200-meter races;
Shodlik Sharifboyev — 1st place in shot put;
Nihoyat Nurmatova — 1st place in shot put;
Sarvar Yoqubov — 2nd place in the 800-meter race;
Ziyoda Masharipova — 3rd place in the 800-meter race;
Women’s 4×100-meter relay team — 2nd place.
We sincerely congratulate our winning and prize-winning students, as well as their coaches, on this remarkable achievement. We wish them continued success and many more victories in future competitions!
