A cultural and educational event was held on the theme "Uzbekistan - a tolerant country".
Today, on the occasion of November 16 - "International Day of Tolerance", a cultural and educational event was held at Urganch State University under the slogan "Education and international tolerance" on the topic "Uzbekistan is a tolerant country".
The event was held under the leadership of Khorezm regional government, leaders and creative teams of Turkmen, Kazakh, Russian, Korean, Tatar national-cultural centers in our region, as well as the leadership of our university, with the participation of professors, teachers and students.
The event was opened by the rector of UrSU B.Abdullayev, who welcomed all the participants with a holiday, and expressed his opinion that the Uzbek people stand out among all nations as a nation that has been a symbol of harmony, friendliness and tolerance since ancient times. Also, at this festive event, the Head of the Secretariat for Relations with Public and Religious Organizations of Khorezm Region F. Razzokov, the head imam of Urganch city H. Kenjayev and the heads of national and cultural centers made congratulatory speeches.
After that, a festive concert program of creative teams of national cultural centers and students of Urganch State University was presented. On this night of mutual friendship and respect, poems, songs and national dances glorifying interethnic harmony, peace and tranquility in Uzbekistan were performed.
